President of Latvia visits PAA production plant

The president of Latvia visited the PAA production plant as part of his regional working visit. President Vējonis was introduced to the manufacturing process of bathtubs, washbasins and shower trays.

During the visit, PAA CEO Pēteris Treicis admitted that the visit is taking place at a significant time, the company’s 25th anniversary year: “The company might have been created as a result of determination and lucky coincidences, but today we are a manufacturer with 90 employees and an annual production capacity of 4000 bathtubs, 5000 washbasins and 14,000 shower trays, which we export to 16 countries.”

Accompanied by the company’s CEO Pēteris Treicis and the plant’s manager, the president, along with Ķekava Municipality Council chairwoman Viktorija Baire, got an insight into the manufacturing process of cast stone, acrylic and SilkSTONE products. “What we have seen is proof that Latvian entrepreneurs are capable of creating innovative products and being competitive on international markets,” the president said after the visit.
